The Philipines – a natural disaster…

They don’t have much, and what they have is often taken away in a split second.

The typhoon that destroyed much of the Filipines shows us how vulnerable we are.  At the same time, it reminds us of the fact that we, rich westerners, are possibly creating problems – such as global warming – that become obvious in developing countries.

Without wanting to go into this topic right now, I want to share with you a few images I took in the Philipines whilst working on a reportage for a Belgian NGO.

My heart goes out to all Philipinos involved.
